For Colored Girls

Just got home from seeing "For Colored Girls", directed by Tyler Perry. It was safe to say that me and my friend were the only two white folk in the audience, which was a nice change of pace. The movie, well, was an epic fail. Perry meant to portray the lives of several african american women who were struggling and, even though the scenarios were pretty sad, the script/acting just came across as funny. The movie had the audience laughing during what were supposed to be the most heart-breaking moments of the whole film... Plus, it seemed like the movie was an adaptation of a play because there were these CONSTANT damn soliloquoys (when a character gives a little speech addressing the audience) that were supposed to be deep and meaningful but were just long, boring, and badly placed. Oh and I don't think there was a single white character in the whole movie, which was a little weird. Watch the movie if you want a good laugh.
