Props for Prop 19

Eight days ago, on November 2nd, Prop 19 was rejected in the great state of California. Although some people see this as proof marijuana legalization is going no where, I'd have to argue the exact opposite. There has been talk for a LONG time about finally taking a serious effort on decriminalizing marijuana, and NORML is finally making that effort. The vote in Cali? 53% against the Prop and 46% for it. That's a 7% difference. Approximately 37,000,000 people live in California. Out of that 37 million, seven million came out to vote on the prop. For 19% of a state's population to even care enough to go out and vote says something to me. It says that this is at least a real issue. NORML says that 3.3 million is the largest amount of pro-legalization votes they have ever seen in a state proposal.

Needless to say but I'll say it anyways, I will be one extremely upset dude if mary jane is not legalized in my lifetime. I will probably end up moving to Canada or Amsterdam, they've got it going on.
